This week we focused on learning about the Holy Spirit. Here is a bit of our lesson: Sometimes, you look out your window, and you see the trees swaying. Your neighbor’s hair is flying all over. A piece of paper is skipping across the yard. What is causing these things to move? You’re right! It’s the wind. Even though you cannot see it, you know it’s there because you can see the thing it does. Even though you can’t see the Holy Spirit with your eyes, you know He’s there because you can see the things He does in your life. When we
admit our mistakes,
believe that Jesus died for us, and
choose to follow Him, we become forever friends with God, and the Holy Spirit is our power source to help us with our problems.
It is important to talk to our kids about the trinity and about God's Holy Spirit. Sometimes this is the most difficult for the kids to understand, because they cannot see it. This week, discuss with your kids how we can see the Holy Spirit at work within our lives. Ask them if they can feel the Holy Spirit living within themselves. Maybe say a short prayer with them asking God's Holy Spirit to fill us up!
Have an awesome week!
